Where can I find the Curbside Market?

We stop at locations in Rochester and surrounding communities including; apartment buildings, senior centers, clinics, and community spaces. Check the schedule to find a stop near you.

Where will the truck be parked?

The truck is usually parked right outside the building or in a nearby lot. Our weekly schedule has notes for some stops where the truck may be difficult to find.

When is the Curbside Market open?

The Curbside Market runs six days a week, year‑round. Each weekly stop has a scheduled day and time between 10 am - 5 pm. but you can also find the market at special events throughout Monroe County and the surrounding area.

What can I buy at the Curbside Market?

You’ll find fresh fruits, vegetables, and a small selection of grocery staples. For a full list of our current inventory, visit our Products & Pricing page.

Does the Curbside Market sell donated food?

No! All our products are purchased from distributors, wholesalers and local farms. Although Foodlink accepts millions of pounds of donated food annually, our food bank and Curbside Market are completely separate operations.

Is the Curbside Market open all year?

Yes! We operate year‑round, including during colder months. In the event of inclement weather, sites affected will be notified, and a text message sent to all Curbside Connect subscribers. To subscribe, complete the form here.

Can anyone shop at the Curbside Market, or only people who live at the stop?

Everyone is welcome to shop at the Curbside Market! Although many of our stops are apartment buildings, you do not have to be a resident of the location to shop at the truck. 

In addition to our weekly stops, all events advertised on social media and Curbside Connect are open to everyone! Please note that external partners reserve the right to request the Curbside Market for events that are not open to the public. 

How can my location host a Curbside Market stop?

Organizations can complete the Partner With Us form to request a stop at their site or event.

Payments

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, credit/debit, GooglePay, ApplePay, SNAP, WIC, FMNP (WIC & Senior), Fresh Connect checks, and Curbside Market vouchers.

Can I use my SNAP or WIC benefits at the Curbside Market?

Yes! SNAP and WIC are accepted at all Curbside Market stops. All our products are SNAP eligible, and the majority are also WIC-eligible.

What are Double Up Food Bucks?

Double Up Food Bucks are a produce credit offered by approved vendors, including the Curbside Market! If you use SNAP benefits to purchase fruits and vegetables at the Curbside Market, you can earn free produce credits to use on your next visit. For every penny spent on fruit and vegetables, we match that amount as produce credits, up to $50 per day. Shoppers can redeem credits as early as the next business day.

What is the Fresh Rewards program?

Fresh Rewards is a customer loyalty program available to all in-person shoppers. By signing up, customers are eligible for additional savings based on their shopping habits. Fresh Reward challenges incentivize loyalty members for shopping consistently and shopping often.

At the Market

How long does the truck stop at each location?

Our weekly stops range from 30 minutes to 2 hours in length. Each stop is scheduled for a specific time. Please note that operators reserve the right to turn away customers arriving within 3 minutes of the scheduled end time.

Is the market wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately, no. Each vehicle is equipped with a set of stairs and a railing at the rear of the truck. If you are unable to use the stairs or feel uncomfortable shopping aboard the truck, our staff and volunteers will be happy to assist you with filling your order.

Is there a limit to how much I can buy?

Generally speaking, we do not limit the number of items that customers can buy. Most shoppers are able to buy what they need. On rare occasions, operators may place limits on specific grocery items, such as milk, eggs, or watermelons to ensure that inventory does not run out early.

If you would like to purchase a large quantity (e.g. 12 bunches of collard greens), we ask that you contact the Curbside Market Manager directly by calling 585.328.3380 to place your order in advance.

Do I need to register to shop at the Curbside Market?

No sign‑up is needed! During market hours, all are welcome to shop at the truck-- just walk up and ask one of our staff or volunteers for assistance, if needed.

What happens if the Curbside Market truck is delayed or cancelled?

Curbside Market closures are noted on our printable schedule. If the market is cancelled unexpectedly, our website–- FoodlinkNY.org/CurbsideMarket--will feature a pop-up with details regarding the sites affected.
